Gary is a freelance consultant who has specialised in Oracle and Oracle Applications since the 1980s. Gary first started working with Oracle 4 in the days of UFI (User Friendly Interface), the predecessor of today’s SQL and back when Oracle forms were written using a text script. Even GUI forms (version 2.3) was a thing of the future back then!
Gary began working in the E-Business space with the then Oracle Financials MPL5 (Version 5) and has over 20+ years experience specialising in both Oracle and Oracle E-Business Suite. During his career Gary has been involved in a wide range of industries including telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, supply & distribution, pharmaceutical, construction, startup companies and product development. Gary has specialised in providing a diverse range of E-Business services spanning from strategic planning to problem solving and database administration both nationally and internationally. Since the late 1990's, Gary has become more widely known as a regular conference presenter at OAUG conferences internationally.
Gary espouses the philosophy “not all performance problems are technical” and that in most stable OEBS environments user behaviour / usage patterns are typically the source of most correctable performance problems.
